Classic in the spotlight: the versatility and uniqueness of Travertine cladding in the washroom of the Muro Alto Beach House

Classic in the spotlight: the versatility and uniqueness of Travertine cladding in the washroom of the Muro Alto Beach House.

The elegance and sophistication of Travertine enrich the composition of the washroom in the Muro Alto beach house, an interior design project signed by Hornero Arquitetura and executed by the marble company Arte Pedras, from Recife.

Travertine washroom

To give the room more magnitude and highlight the velvety texture and cavities typical of Travertine, this timeless stone was applied to the entire length of the washroom, extending over the countertop and front wall, framing the mirror with recessed lighting.

The grayish beige color of the Travertine blended subtly with the neutral color palette of the washroom, adding cohesion and refinement to the environment.
Sophisticated and functional design

The architects designed a square Travertine frame that surrounds and highlights the entire countertop and creates a lower niche as a support surface that optimizes the space and maintains the visual harmony of the environment.

The contemporaneity of Travertine

Travertine is a timeless marble whose most striking feature is the small cavities that tell a little about its formation. These elements were caused by microorganisms trapped in the stone that decomposed leaving empty spaces and making Travertine even more unique and interesting.
